
Visiting NREL
Find details about your visit to the Partner Forum event at the Denver West Marriott and NREL's South Table Mountain campus in Golden, Colorado.

Locations
- The 2025 Partner Forum welcome reception and main program will be held May 12–13 in the Denver West Marriott's Golden Ballroom.
- Check-in opens at 4:30 p.m. May 12 and runs 7–8 a.m. May 13.
- The May 13 dinner will be held at The Rose in downtown Golden (prior RSVP required).
- Activities on May 14 will begin in the NREL Café on the South Table Mountain campus, less than a half mile from the Denver West Marriott. See information about shuttles and how to access NREL's South Table Mountain campus.
Parking and Transportation
There is ample parking at the Denver West Marriott. Those parking at NREL must follow the check-in process below.
Shuttles
Shuttles will be provided from the Denver West Marriott to The Rose for dinner in downtown Golden, Colorado, Tuesday evening, May 13. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
- Marriott pickup times: Every 15 minutes, 5:15–5:45 p.m.
- The Rose pickup times: Every 15 minutes, 8–8:30 p.m.
Shuttles will also be provided May 14 to and from the Denver West Marriott to NREL's campus (The NREL Café). The shuttle will be on a rotation, every 15 minutes, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
Campus Access
On May 14, all registered attendees may access NREL's South Table Mountain campus unless other arrangements have been made with their hosts. See security procedures when accessing campus, or email NREL's Special Events Team with questions.
Check-In Process
Follow these steps when checking in for May 14 activities:
- Enter the NREL campus at the East Site Entrance Building.
- Proceed to the parking garage, entering via the east entrance, and park on the fourth floor.
- Proceed to the NREL Café, where your identification will be checked, and you will receive a new NREL site access badge.
- NREL hosts will meet you in the Café upon your arrival.

U.S. Citizens
NREL's security procedures require that you present U.S. government-issued photo identification (e.g., state driver's license, military ID, U.S. passport) upon check-in to receive your NREL site access badge.
Non-U.S. Citizens
All non-U.S. citizens (including Canadian citizens, permanent resident aliens, and resident aliens) are required to obtain advance approval and must submit a Foreign National Access Request. After registration, NREL staff will contact non-U.S. citizens with the necessary Foreign National Access Request (which will be sent digitally) and additional instructions.
Upon receiving preapproval, you will receive an email confirmation. At the time of the event, please bring a valid passport and visa information.
- Visitors from countries that participate in the U.S. Department of State's Visa Waiver Program must bring their passport and visa stamp or I-94 card received from U.S. Customs upon entering the United States.
- Canadian citizens must provide their passport and a government-issued photo ID or birth certificate.
- A permanent resident of the United States must bring a permanent resident card along with a government-issued photo ID.
These documents must be presented upon check-in to receive your event badge.
Unfortunately, last-minute substitutions will not be allowed. Registration for non-U.S. citizens has closed.
Event Attire
Business-casual attire is preferred. If you're attending any of the tours, please wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes (no sandals or flip-flops) and long pants.
Meals
The following meals will be provided during the event:
- May 12, 4:30–6:30 p.m.: Light refreshments, complimentary beer and wine
- May 13: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (prior RSVP required)
- May 14: Breakfast in the NREL Café
- May 14: Lunch available for purchase at the NREL Café and the Golden Grounds Coffee Shop in the Research Support Facility

On-Site Assistance
For assistance or questions during your visit, see an NREL volunteer (wearing an NREL badge) or a uniformed security officer.
Internet Access
Instructions for Wi-Fi access will be provided upon arrival.
Safety, Hazardous Weather, or Evacuation
In the unlikely event we encounter hazardous weather conditions during the event, a campuswide announcement will be made with safety information and instructions.
If you are in or near the NREL Café, proceed to the food service area away from the windows. Security personnel assigned to the event will be available to assist should an emergency situation arise.
